  About the Job

Fixed term contract to 31st March 2024.

We are looking for a Lead Engagement Officer to work on an exciting new Programme - Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL). This has been developed by Defra and was announced in the Agricultural Transition Plan. FiPL will be managed by the PDNPA, helping farmers, land managers and others to deliver projects on the farmed landscape under the themes of climate, nature, people and place.

The FiPL Lead Engagement Officer will lead a small team to provide advice and guidance to applicants and support a local panel created to assess applications. You’ll need to have considerable experience of programme and line management, working with farmers and land managers, a good knowledge of conservation, upland land management and access and familiarity with current agri-environment schemes. The role will be based at our offices in Bakewell, with flexibility for home working.
