  About the Job

The Peak District National Park Authority is proud to be taking part in the government-funded Kickstart Scheme. The scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24 year olds who are on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing & Fundraising Trainee to join the Peak District National Park’s fundraising team. The Peak District National Park Foundation is a registered charity established by the National Park Authority to raise funds to care for The Peak District National Park and make it more inclusive.

The post will support the fundraising team focussing on social media and digital marketing. It will help the Foundation to grow its online audience and manage the Foundation’s social media accounts. The post will develop a social media content plan to promote fundraising projects and increase donations with a particular focus on regular donors.

The post holder will be the content lead for the fundraising pages on the Foundation website and across social channels and will deliver facebook ads campaign. The post will also support the development of OurPeak e newsletter and the digital marketing infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity for a young person to bring creative ideas to a new fundraising charity. They’ll have the support of both the Peak District National Park Authority and the charity with online training opportunities provided by the institute of fundraising and national council for voluntary organisations as well as shadowing opportunities with existing authority communication team staff.

You will need to have:
• Experience of digital marketing and/or social media
• Interest, knowledge or experience in digital fundraising
• GCSE English & Maths

This placement is for six months starting in July and working 25 hours per week (Monday to Thursday with some weekend working). It is based at our offices Aldern House, Bakewell (with periods of homeworking).
